Open and Affirming Statement: Desert Surprise UCC is an open and affirming congregation welcoming all who affirm faith in Christ and follow Christ's leadership in their lives. Specifically this welcome includes all regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic background, economic status, mental or physical disability or sexual orientation.
In the New Testament, the only people who seemed to be outside the outrageous party Jesus called the Kingdom of God were those who excluded others because they were different. For that reason we welcome all persons seeking wholeness, inclusion and the fellowship of the people of God.
