Beatitudes Center D.O.A.R. (Developing Older Adult Resources)
Center D.O.A.R. is an interfaith ministry providing support and assistance to older people, adults with physical disabilities, and family caregivers. The ministry provides services, support groups, educational programs.
There are four main areas of focus for Center D.O.A.R.--the Volunteer Interfaith Caregivers Program (VICaP), Generations, Project GrandCare, and the Nurse Ministries Network.
VICaP provides informal support service to homebound and/or disabled adults over the age of 18 and to family caregivers. Generations coordinates support groups, workshops, and information services for people concerned about aging loved ones. Project GrandCare, which is an extension of Generations, offers support and assistance to grandparents raising their grandchildren. The Nurse Ministries Network meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people by helping congregations begin and maintain parish nurse programs and health ministries.
