Become a VICaP Faith in Action volunteer!

With just an hour or two on a periodic basis, you can make a difference to a homebound elder or disabled adult.  Become involved in this incredible Valley-wide ministry and make new friends.  VICaP (Volunteer Interfaith Caregivers Program) offers a wide range of services including: grocery shopping, friendly visiting and phoning, business help, respite assistance, and transportation.

Be a friend!

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget that many people live in our neighborhoods who seldom leave their homes. These homebound elders (and younger adults with disabilities) have amazing stories and warm smiles to share.

You could receive their heartfelt thanks by offering a bit of help through VICaP Faith in Action to help them remain living in their own homes. This program (a ministry of Beatitudes Center D.O.A.R.) provides the behind-the-scenes coordination needed to bring caring volunteers together with homebound individuals. Some services are needed regularly, such as a grocery shopping or visiting, while others may just be needed once, such as a home repair.

With busy schedules volunteering may seem difficult to fit in.  VICaP (Volunteer Interfaith Caregivers Program) Faith in Action makes this desire much easier to carry out by letting you schedule the time you will serve.

Some services may only be needed every month or two, while others are provided weekly.   Volunteers are trained, supervised, and insured.  To register for the next training session nearest you, please call VICaP Faith in Action, a program of Beatitudes Center D.O.A.R. @ 602-285-0543.
