Camp is time when human beings can have a close encounter with God’s good earth.  Our camp spiritual theme and activities this year will strive to help campers and staff see our earth home with new eyes and hear its whispers with new ears.  God’s first call to Creation was for relationship.  As  our society begins to awaken to the vital importance of treating the earth with more gentle care, we will help camp participants become more sensitive to the environmental impact they are making, their responsibilities as God’s children for stewardship, and simply to experience a deeper relationship with the natural world that often goes unnoticed or taken for granted.  Trees will be hugged, bugs will be watched,  there will be conversations with rocks and sticks, and  dancing with stars as we learn to touch earth gently!
